WHAT YOU WANT
FROM YOUR SURGEON

If you are considering plastic surgery, you should go to a plastic surgeon who is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. By choosing a plastic surgeon that is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc., you can be assured that the doctor has graduated from an accredited medical school and has completed at least five years of additional training as a resident surgeon. This includes a minimum three-year residency in an accredited general surgery program and a minimum two-year residency in plastic surgery. To become certified, the doctor then must successfully complete comprehensive written and oral exams. For example, following medical school, I have seven years of additional training as a resident surgeon and I have passed my written and oral exams. Only the American Board of Plastic Surgery can certify plastic surgeons. You may call 215-587-9322 to verify.

You want to have an experienced doctor who you can trust with your care. You want a doctor who has a reputation for great advice. You want a doctor who can help you sort out the maze of plastic surgery. At a time when we are inundated with reality shows about plastic surgery; the need for appropriate advice and wisdom is of the utmost importance.

You want a doctor who will say, “No.” You want a doctor who does not need your business. You want a doctor that doesn’t ‘sell’ you….just advises and educates you. You want your surgeon to be looking out for your best interests.

Dr. Caridi If you are seeking plastic surgery, you want a doctor who is really a surgeon. Therefore, you want a surgeon who is protective of his or her reputation. You want a surgeon who you can trust and have confidence in.

You want your surgeon to spend time to get to know you. Your want your surgeon to give you options. You want a surgeon whose overriding objective is your safety. You want a surgeon with impressive education and credentials. You want a surgeon who knows their business…inside and out.

You want a surgeon who is also an artist. Plastic Surgery is an alternative. It’s important to seek the advice and wisdom of a trusted board certified plastic surgeon who lives in your community. Reputation is of critical importance.

Robert C. Caridi M.D.
